Wine Info

The ancient wine-producing region of Istria spans the westernmost part of Croatia and coastal tip of southern Slovenia. Despite this location, straddling two proud wine-producing countries, Istrian wine is still largely undiscovered by the world’s wine drinking population. Istria's most important grape, and its flagship, is malvazija Istarska (sometimes anglicised to malvasia Istriana. In both 2014 and 2015, Istria was listed as one of the top 10 wine destinations in the world, and in 2016 it was among the top 10 wine destinations in Europe.
