La Rioja Wine Tourism
Chilecito valley is the most important wine-growing area in La Rioja, located to the west of the province, between the Velazco massif to the east and the Nevado de Famatina to the west. This valley offers optimal conditions for growing grape. The most cultivated variety are Bonarda, Torrontés and other strains are beginning to be cultivated: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay.
