Eguren Ugarte is one Rioja Alavesa’s historical wineries. We carry out the whole wine producing process from grape growing to sales to our customers all over the world.

With more than 130 hectares of our own vineyards, we unite tradition and modernity. Our wines are enjoyed in more than 25 countries and we have built an hotel above our 2,000m2 of cellars. At Eguren Ugarte we open our doors to our visitors and invite them to discover the secrets of our trade and all the details involved in producing and maturing fine wines.

A stroll around our 2 kilometres of cellars, 20 metres below ground level, causes quite an impression. You breathe the aromas of wines tenderly yet rigorously cared for, and feel the wine’s history when you stand in front of a barrel after having seen the plot of land where the magic was first engendered. Eguren Ugarte gives you the chance to see a singular, traditional and at once modern winery in the company of your friends, family or colleagues.

Location
Eguren Ugarte is situated in Páganos in the district of Laguardia in La Rioja Alavesa. Located in the south of Alava, la Rioja Alavesa is clearly bounded by the Cantabria mountain range (Sierra de Cantabria) to the north; from here its lands slope gently downwards as far as the Ebro river, where its south boundary is.
