Petit Verdot is a late maturing variety, it gives the wine an intense color, a tannic richness, and aromatic power characterized by the violet and licorice aromas. Used in blends, even when in small proportions, give wines that are tannic with a high concentration of anthocyanins, full-bodied, dark and with varios dimentios in color, structure and aging pontencial, its takes very long to develop their aromas.
